I have joined Team Fletchers for The Push!

My mum sustained an incomplete spinal cord injury in April 2021 following emergency surgery for Cauda Equina syndrome. Our lives changed then but with the support of organisations like Back Up and my mums determination we are back to living our lives again!

I have witnessed the difference that Back Up has made to my mum and I want to thank them by raising money so that they can continue to support others to live their best life with Spinal Cord Injury.

Back Up is a national charity that inspires people affected by spinal cord injury to get the most out of life. Back Up support people across the UK with award-winning services that are designed and delivered by people affected by spinal cord injury.

The charity offers wheelchair skills training, an accredited mentoring service, telephone support, life skills and activity courses, and support returning to work or education. They also offer support to family members and are the only UK charity with dedicated services for children and young people with a spinal cord injury. 

Their services are designed to give people the skills, confidence and independence to get back up to living life to the full.
