5T's Taking Ted To The Top

Ted's story;

Ted is a young boy who never ceases to amaze his family. 

Soon after his 3rd Birthday Ted was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer which created a tumor which grew close to his spinal cord causing a devastating compression injury. 

Ted's family first supported Ted through his chemotherapy over the course of 9 months at Birmingham children's hospital. On completion of treatment, just before Christmas of 2018, Ted was able to start rebuilding his young life.

He has tried may sports including wheelchair basketball, sit-ski, wheelchair racing and is now becoming a very good swimmer. Most recently his new favourite is bodybuilding and weight training!

Through Backup, Ted and the family have made many new friends and they have been lucky enough to have been invited to an annual outdoor bound course in the Lake District.
